118 Operator System

Pendar Pajouh's 118 system is an integrated set of network equipment, hardware and the operator and management software required for the 118 directory-assistance service. It was designed on the company's many years of experience in the 118 field and is flexible enough to cover requested changes and required reports. Connection to the public switched telephone network (PSTN) is made via analogue lines or an E1 link, based on VoIP technology.

Unified Messaging System (UMS)

Pendar Pajouh's Unified Voice Messaging System (UMS) is a collection of hardware, software and web/Windows services that operate under unified management as an Application Service and a Soft Switch. The system runs the following telecom services concurrently and in an integrated way:

Revenue Assurance System

Telecom operators deal with vast volumes of data and information flows that feed their billing processes. These processes are complex and built on composite automation, and given the high data volume, data integrity can be compromised during transfer and processing. Numerous factors — fraud, call-routing errors, rating and charging errors, billing-system errors, interconnect payments and poor system integration — cause revenue loss. Running a Revenue Assurance (RA) process addresses all of these factors and ultimately optimises collected revenue.

Hotbilling System

The Hotbilling system is implemented in two stages: a Mediation stage and a Rating & Billing stage.

a) Mediation system

Mediation is responsible for collecting data (XDRs) from the switch infrastructure and passing it to the normalisation stage. It connects to telecom switch infrastructure, and its interface components can accommodate future expansion and various infrastructure vendors. Call data can be collected both online (file transfer over the network) and via CD, with support for low- and high-capacity switches and other network operators.

b) Billing system

A system that intelligently performs all of the telecom company's current manual and automated fixed-line billing operations; supporting Hot Billing, Billing Center and mid-cycle cut-off indicators, with no limit on the number of users, numbers or services. It prevents abuse of international transit and traffic termination, covers inter-operator interconnection, and helps control the telecom company's uncollected revenue.

Data Maintenance & Control Centre Automation System

Pendar Pajouh's control-centre system is a voice-and-web system designed to implement part of the data-centre TMN, comprising two main services.

Voice IVR subscriber-contact service

  • 24/7 response every day of the year
  • Voice ticket logging with a tracking number announced
  • Removing busy tones on control-centre lines
  • Announcing specific outage states (e.g. downtime) to subscribers
  • Automatic email to the subscriber announcing current status
  • Connecting to fault-resolution staff when needed

Web-based office-automation service

  • Ticket creation and integration with the IVR to receive new tickets

Contact Center

A contact centre based on VoIP technology, supporting 512 concurrent calls.

Fixed-Line SMS System (FSMS)

The Fixed-Line SMS system (FSMS) provides the infrastructure needed to send and receive SMS on the fixed telephone network, complementing the mobile SMS system.

With this system, messages can be sent and received from a fixed line to another fixed line, to a mobile phone, or to other networks such as email. To use the service, the fixed-line handset must be equipped with SMS send/receive capability so it can connect to the fixed-line SMSC via the PSTN.

COMC System

Telecom companies strive to maximise efficiency and minimise human error and required staff by centrally and remotely controlling and maintaining their equipment. Given the diversity of telecom switches in Iran and the need for specialist expertise for each type, an efficient system for the comprehensive management of telecom centres is essential. The centralised management systems of major vendors (such as Huawei and Siemens) manage only centres of their own brand, and only through a northbound interface.

Pendar Pajouh, by providing comprehensive management software, has achieved centralised management of all domestic and foreign switches without the need for a northbound interface; a dedicated communication gateway is designed to control and manage each switch, covering every switch active on the country's telephone network. Beyond the switches, environmental parameters, power sources and the cable network are also managed by the system, and an alarm appropriate to the type of fault is reported to the relevant operator. A fault-tracking (ticketing) system, trunk testing and traffic measurement, and various system and office reports are also provided.
